2025-2026 Scholarship App is OPEN!
The 2025-2026 application is open. Deadlines are February 1, 2025, for undergraduate applications and August 1, 2025, for graduate/doctorate applications.
Western Carolina University offers numerous scholarships supporting a wide variety
student types and fields of study. In addition, WCU’s scholarship support staff work
to connect students with state-administered scholarship opportunities and others.
Here you’ll find resources and information about scholarships of all types. Be sure
to review the important upcoming deadlines below.

How to apply for WCU Scholarships
- Log into myWCU
- Click the Scholarship Manager link found in the My Apps box
- Complete the WCU Scholarship Application
- Check your myWCU account for any additional tasks (i.e. supplemental responses, essays, letters of recommendation, etc)
- Based on the information provided in the application, you will be placed in the applicant pool for each scholarship for which you are eligible.
- Scholarship committees will review applications for each pool and select scholarship recipient(s)
- Undergraduate decisions are typically made between March and June 30
Dates and Deadlines
- 2025-2026 WCU Undergraduate Scholarship Application deadline: February 1, 2025.
- 2025-2026 WCU Graduate Scholarship Application deadline: August 1, 2025.
